Ilse + Sjouke

Some weddings leave a deep, lasting impression, and Ilse & Sjouke’s ceremony was one of them. They chose a ceremony package, but what I experienced was so much more than just capturing moments—it was stepping into something truly sacred.

The ceremony began in complete silence, a powerful tribute to the bride’s parents who couldn’t be there. I had never witnessed such an opening before, and it made me instinctively slow down, remove my shoes, and move with even greater care. Every frame felt more intentional, every click of the shutter carrying meaning.

What stayed with me just as much as the silence was the warmth of Ilse & Sjouke themselves. At the end of the day, they had me sign their commemorative puzzle, telling me I was an important part of their wedding. Even now, as I write this, I get goosebumps remembering those heartfelt hours spent with these two wonderful people. Their trust, their kindness, and the honor of being part of their story is something I’ll never forget.
