STUDIO LUMIN

A SMALL TOWN GIRL
LIVING IN A BIG, BIG WORLD
I’m Pauline—a photographer, interior architect, cat person, dog person, and quiet observer of beautiful things. I document weddings with the same care I bring to designing spaces: attentively, intuitively, and always with intention. I don’t stage perfection. I look for presence. I notice the way hands meet, how light moves through a room, the moment someone exhales and simply is. I blend into the background, move with the rhythm of the day, and photograph what’s honest—because those are the moments that last. Clients often tell me they felt calm around me, that I made space for them to just be. That’s exactly what I hope for. Because your wedding day isn’t a photo shoot. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of people who love you. And that deserves to be held with care. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me working with my sister at our architecture studio, reading late into the night, or sharing quiet mornings with my cat Aurora. I also read and write stories—because I believe in noticing the details most people pass by. I’d be honored to tell yours.

I KNOW A LOVE THAT SPREADS FROM
CHILE to BELGIUM to JORDAN
and beyond (of course)

%20(1).jpg)

My parents met while traveling—my father a linguist with a talent for adventure, my mother a Chilean woman known for her sharp humor, warm spirit, and insistence on good food. They eventually settled in Belgium, where I grew up surrounded by stories of language, distance, and devotion. Years later, I found a love of my own that asked for patience and persistence. My husband and I spent years apart—visiting when we could, building a bond across time zones—before finally creating a life together here in Antwerp. These days, we work side by side, surrounded by three cats, city views, and the quiet kind of joy that comes from shared roots.
I share this because I know what it takes to arrive at a day like that. A wedding isn’t just a celebration—it’s the closing of distance, the gathering of stories, the quiet triumph of everything that led you there. That’s what I look for when I photograph a wedding: not just the beauty of the day, but the meaning it holds.
Because I come from big love.
I was raised on stories of love that crossed oceans.
And it's an honor to capture yours.

I AM A MASTER
INTERIOR ARCHITECT

You might not know me first as a photographer—most people who’ve worked with me professionally know me as an interior architect. Last year, I launched a design studio with my sister, who’s also an architect, and together we take on thoughtful, residential projects that bring a lot of joy and creativity into our lives. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m shaping spaces with the same eye I bring to photography: an eye for light, balance, and quiet detail. You can explore my design work at www.paulinevandewiele.be
My photography logo is a piece of my handwritten name—taken from the original logo I use for my interior architecture studio. Since photography is a more personal, secondary pursuit alongside my main work in design, it felt right to let the two identities share the same handwriting. One craft flows into the other. And so does the name.

I AM UNLIMITED

Photography may not be my full-time job—but it’s a full-time passion. Most of my days are spent designing spaces as an interior architect, but when time allows, I love taking on other creative projects. From maternity sessions and product shoots to birthdays, baptisms, and beyond—if you have something in mind and feel we’d be a good fit, reach out. I’ve done a little of everything, and I’m always open to new stories and settings. Let’s meet and see what we can create together.

& LAST BUT NOT LEAST
MY DARLING, MY AURORA
While I share my desk with my husband, I also share it with Aurora—our most darling (and possibly most spoiled) cat. We have three, but Aurora holds a special place in my heart. She looks at me like I invented sunlight, and I’m fairly certain she believes I’m invincible. She makes me feel stupendous—and without fail, she sits in front of the screen while I edit your galleries. Not judging, oh no.
Aurora always sits in quiet awe of what I can do.
If that’s not support, I don’t know what is.
I love you, you precious little thing
